Amplifon has recently achieved recognition for its innovative digital solutions, securing two prestigious international design awards for its OtoKiosk digital audiometer and Amplifon app. These accolades, awarded by the UX Design Awards and iF Design Awards, highlight the company’s commitment to enhancing user experience in hearing healthcare.
OtoKiosk was awarded the UX Design Award in the Product category as well as an iF Design Award in the Health and Wellness User Experience category. The Amplifon app similarly received an iF Design Award in the Digital Media Interface category.
OtoKiosk Digitales Audiometer
The OtoKiosk is a patented application certified by CE and FDA, designed for precise audiometric testing in noisy environments, such as shopping malls and pharmacies. It leverages artificial intelligence technologies, including multilingual avatars for user guidance and predictive algorithms, to optimize the testing process and enhance the accuracy of results.
This system provides immediate initial assessments of hearing health and was also presented to the European Parliament as part of the „Hear the Future“ initiative aimed at hearing loss screening and awareness.
Amplifon-App
The Amplifon app serves as a digital platform for hearing health, offering hearing aid management tools and support for users throughout their hearing care journey. The app is accessible not only to the general public but also to Amplifon hearing aid users, providing basic audiometric screening via smartphones and access to content focused on hearing loss prevention. A key feature is a 24/7 virtual assistant powered by artificial intelligence.
Currently, the app is available in 11 countries: Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Portugal, Australia, New Zealand, and the United States.
Founded by the International Design Center Berlin, the UX Design Awards recognize products and services that improve lives through user-centered design. The iF Design Award is an international competition honoring creative excellence in design.
